SOM Conference: A Gathering of Ministry Sons at Christ Embassy City Church (September 14th)
The Sons of Ministry (SOM) Conference. This unique gathering brought together the children of ministers, creating a space for them to connect, grow, and receive spiritual guidance for their distinct roles within the body of Christ.
The conference is more than just a meeting; it’s a spiritual awakening for the next generation of ministry leaders. These sons of ministers, many of whom have grown up observing the labor and dedication of their parents in the ministry, gathered with great anticipation for what God had in store for them.
At the heart of the event was our highly esteemed Zonal Pastor, Pastor Chike Ume; who powerfully ministered the Word, offering clear biblical insight into the specific role of children of ministers in today’s church. He highlighted how their upbringing within the ministry provides them with unique opportunities and responsibilities to continue the legacy of soul-winning and kingdom advancement. Drawing from the scriptures, the Zonal Pastor emphasized that being a child of a minister is a calling in itself, marked by both privilege and responsibility.
The SOMs had a unique opportunity to engage in a Q&A session with the Zonal Pastor, receiving immediate guidance and insights.
With praise and engaging sessions, the SOM Conference was an enriching experience. It underscored the importance of empowering the next generation to walk in their purpose, ensuring that the flame of the gospel continues to burn brightly in their hands.
This conference was indeed a profound moment of spiritual recalibration for the children of ministers, equipping them to take on the responsibility of leadership and service, just as their parents have done.
